National Express puts on extra coaches for Rugby World Cup
National Express is putting rugby on an extra 5,000 seats for rugby fans travelling to World Cup matches.
It says the extra seats, including 2,000 from London to Cardiff, are being added after a surge in bookings from rugby fans.
Bookings to Cardiff have soared by more than 70% year-on-year during the tournament.
The coach company pledged to add more seats as needed to cope with demand.
It is also putting on special late-night services from Cardiff to London following games with a late-night kick-off.
After games on Friday, October 2 and Saturday October 17, National Express coaches will depart the city’s Sophia Gardens a short walk from Millennium Stadium, timed to allow enough time for fans dafter the final whistle is blown.
Return fares on services from London to Cardiff start at £35.60.
Groups of four or more can get 25% off the cost of their coach tickets, provided the tickets are booked three days in advance.
