NBTC organises workshop for UK and Irish Tour Operators
The Netherlands Board of Tourism & Conventions (NBTC) organises Travel Event Holland on September 17 and 18, 2008, a chance for Dutch companies and UK & Irish operators to meet and do business together.
The second day of the event is a fam trip featuring The Hague with its highlights and the city centre.
For Travel Event Holland, guests will travel by air, train or ferry to Holland. At the workshop, operators have a chance to meet prominent Dutch suppliers during pre-booked appointments. The operators will also be briefed on the latest about Holland Art Cities, the event year for 2009-2010.
During the workshops the NBTC will also launch the 2008/2009 edition of the Fact Finder on interactive CD-ROM. The Fact Finder supplies the travel trade with all the relevant information about Holland such as destination information and supplier contact details. By going green and swapping printed trade manuals to this interactive CD-ROM the NBTC tries to take her responsibility for the environment while making the information easier accessible for the travel trade.
After the workshop and some free time to freshen up there will be an evening programme in Amsterdam – a city well known for its art collection – has been arranged. The evening will kick off with a Happy Hour Cruise with Canal Company.
Participation in the second day of the event on September 18, 2008, is optional. This day is of an educational nature and will feature The Hague. With its two seaside resorts (Scheveningen and Kijkduin), the combination of city and beach found in The Hague is unique to the Netherlands. The city is not only famous for its Vermeer paintings, but also for the Netherlands Dance Theatre.
