NCL appoints business development director
Norwegian Cruise Line has appointed Nicky Foot as business development director UK & Ireland.
Foot replaces Jeremy McKenna, who was appointed NCL’s head of sales UK and Ireland after joining from Carnival UK two years ago.
She joins the Southampton-based team, reporting to Nick Wilkinson, vice president and managing director UK & Ireland and MEA.
Foot previously worked at Groupon as a director and before that was the UK regional sales director at Living Social Escapes.
Earlier in her career she spent a number of years working for the marine division at TUI working for Sunsail, The Moorings and Le-Boat.
The cruise line said the appointment will ‘further strengthen the business development function at a time of growth’, following the one-year anniversary of Premium All Inclusive, an increased capacity in ex-UK sailings and the launch of Norwegian Bliss in April.
Wilkinson added: "Nicky’s extensive experience and strategic focus will ensure we continue to grow our UK and Ireland markets at a time when we are growing our fleet, with Norwegian Encore coming in 2019."
