NCL appoints new marketing and sales chief
Annette Davies has taken up the newly created position of marketing and sales director at Norwegian Cruise Line.
She moves to NCL from BAA and National Express where she was commercial director for Heathrow and Gatwick Express and latterly customer services director for one of the National Express operating companies.
Davies was also head of marketing and branding at P&O Stena Line, head of marketing and sales at Continental Airlines and marketing, brand and product development manager at Jersey European Airways (Flybe).
She will bring together the marketing, sales and product development activities of the cruise line following the launch of its new brand in December.
The individual divisions will continue to be headed by Mark Persad, head of marketing and PR; Nick Wilkinson, head of sales and Kaye Thomas, product development manager, all reporting to Davies.
Davies joins the NCL London office on March 5 reporting to UK general manager Francis Riley, who said: “As part of the company’s continued growth and development, Annette will be responsible for bringing sales, marketing and product under one umbrella.
“Following the launch of the new brand it is imperative that these areas of the business work together to capitalise on the opportunity the launch has presented.”
