NCL in UK restructure
Norwegian Cruise Line is placing renewed emphasis on pricing, revenue and yield in the UK with a series of new appointments.
Sales director Francis Riley is to expand is responsibilities by taking on revenue management, monitoring price, yield, competitive and business analysis as well as air and land contracting.
Reporting to him will be two new recruits – revenue management senior manager Doug Jones, who moves from NCL’s Miami headquarters, and business analyst Nick Daly, taking on a role which was previously handled in the US.
Mr Riley said the merging of sales and revenue management teams changes come prior to an important year for the line in 2005.
He said: “In many ways revenue management is a function of the sale department and vice-versa, and having one department will speed up the decision making process, making us more effective and more efficient as a business and has a trade partner for the retail travel trade
“We are bringing new sales initiatives to support the trade in January and we are looking to a year of strong growth ahead.”
NCL’s UK general manager Stephen Park added: “This restructuring is all about streamlining roles and responsibilities and making sure NCL is the cruise line UK agents want to work with and UK customers want to travel with.”
