NCLH chief Frank Del Rio to retire
Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd president and CEO Frank Del Rio will retire this summer.
He steps down from the top job and board of directors on June 30, the company said.
Harry Sommer, president and CEO of the company’s flagship brand Norwegian Cruise Line, will take his place.
Current chief of flagship brand, Norwegian Cruise Line Harry Sommer will succeed Del Rio.
“Leading NCLH has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my professional career,” Del Rio said.
Del Rio will continue as a senior advisor to the board until 2025.
The company also announced the appointment of David J. Herrera as NCL’s new President from 1st April 2023.
Herrera is currently NCL’s Chief Consumer Sales and Marketing Officer.
He was previously senior advisor to the CEO and Chairman of Prestige Holdings in 2012.
With Herrera’s appointment, Adam Malone, who oversees consumer and integrated marketing, will take the role of Chief Marketing Officer.
