Nearly 5,000 positive cases linked to Cornwall festival
Almost 5,000 Covid infections may be linked to a recent Cornwall music and surfing festival. About 50,000 people attended the Boardmasters Festival in Newquay two weeks ago and Cornwall Council said as many as 4,700 cases may be linked to it.
At least 800 positive cases are Cornwall residents and three districts near Newquay currently have the country’s highest infection rates. About three-quarters of them are aged under 21 years.
