Lunn Poly has signed up with the customer loyalty scheme, Nectar.

The new loyalty scheme, which launches on Monday, rewards customers for spending with Sainsburys, BP, Debenhams and Barclaycard. Under the agreement with Lunn Poly, customers will be able to use Nectar vouchers to get discounts on holidays.

Nectar, which will be operated by Loyalty Management UK, anticipates signing up over half a million UK households in its first year.

Two Nectar vouchers, or 1,000 points will take £25 off the cost of a holiday bought at Lunn Poly, which is part of TUI UK. The Nectar vouchers can be used at the same time as other Lunn Poly discounts.

When spending on a Nectar card, customers get two points per £1 spent at Sainsburys and Debenhams, one point for every £2 spent on their Barclaycard, and on point for every litre of petrol bought from BP. Customers using a Barclaycard at participating outlets will earn twice.

TUI UK marketing director, High Edwards said: “Our customer research shows that our customers want value for money, and the best price and best deal available. The fact that the Nectar redemption discount will be above and beyond other discounts running in the shops means that Nectar customers will get even better deals”.

A number of airlines have signed up to be travel suppliers. They are Virgin Atlantic Airways, bmi british midland, KLM, TAP Air Portugal, Air Europa, Flybe and Singapore Airlines. Nectar vouchers will also be redeemable for train services including Eurostar, and London’s three main airport rail links, the Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted Express services. DFDS Seaways, Orient Express and Best Western Hotels have also signed up.

Non-travel suppliers include Argos, Blockbuster, Planet Hollywood, Whitbread and a number of tourist attractions including Legoland Windsor and Cadbury World.
