Neilson and Gold Medal could be sold off by Thomas Cook
Thomas Cook is considering selling specialist ski arm Neilson as part of a continued shake-up of the company, according to reports in the Sunday Times.
Chief executive Harriet Green is in the final stages of a review aimed at reducing the operator’s £1.6 billion debt.
Neilson, which offers ski and sailing holidays, could be easily separated from the rest of the business, claim analysts. Gold Medal, which Thomas Cook bought in 2008, could also be offloaded.
Thomas Cook said it would not comment on speculation, adding: "We are reviewing every part of our business as we aim to turn round Thomas Cook in the UK, and this involves considering many options."
