Neilson introduces family reps
Ski operator Neilson has developed a family rep service as part of a bid to attract more youngsters to the slopes.
The service will be available at the operator’s top 10 family resorts in France, Bulgaria, Norway, Austria and Sweden this winter with dedicated reps at five of the resorts.
The operator has also doubled the number of ‘family friendly’ hotels offered to 80 and provided discounts of up to 45% for children throughout the season.
The company said the family reps would be responsible for ensuring the needs of all members of the family are met from the start of their holiday, including the organisation of après-ski activities.
Neilson has also expanded its beginners programme to cover 29 resorts. This includes a beginners rep service and a money back guarantee if the first timer does not like skiing after three days of participation.
The operator’s second edition 2006-07 brochure includes three new resorts – Kronplatz in Italy, Katschberg in Austria and Bietostolen in Norway – which are claimed to be exclusively offered by Neilson in the UK. The US resorts of Breckenridge, Winter Park and Copper Mountain in Colorado have been reintroduced. As a result the brochure covers 68 resorts in 10 countries.
Helicopter transfers have been included for the first time covering the Austrian resorts of Zell am See, Kaprun and Katschberg.
The number of spa hotels has increased to 35 while four of the 47 chalets featured provide a ‘platinum’ service, claimed to provide ‘complete pampering’.
