A new accommodation-only website has launched with a portfolio of hotels in London and Dublin. VisitHotels has rates from 80 hotels in London and 10 in Dublin, but it is hoping to have a spread of properties across the UK and Ireland by the end of the year. Founder Martin Kleinman, a former sales and marketing manager of an independent London hotel chain, said the site offered a user-friendly, competitive alternative to other hotel websites. VisitHotels features a London guide to help visitors choose a property and, unlike some other hotel booking sites, no advance payment is required to confirm a booking. Kleinman said the site had taken more than 350 bookings in its first two weeks, generating over £70,000 in revenue. The site is attracting 900 visitors a day, he said.
