SYDNEY – THE growing popularity of Croatia as a holiday destination has prompted rental car operator globalCARS to introduce new rates and vehicles in a range of Balkan and eastern European countries.

The company has a wide range of vehicles available from Dubrovnik airport, as well as major cities in Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and The Ukraine.

Rates begin at A$51 to rent a two-door manual economy Seat Marbella or similar from Dubrovnik Airport on a seven day basis up to about A$81 per day for a four-door manual compact Citroen Xsara or similar.

All prices are fully inclusive of airport surcharges, breakdown assistance, collision damage waiver (cdw), theft waiver (theft protection), third party liability insurance and unlimited mileage.

Director of globalCARS, Andrew Morgan said that cars may be taken out of Croatia to European countries at a charge of euro2 per day, but may not be taken to Albania, Belarus, Bulgaria, Greece, Latvia, Macedonia, Moldovia, Romania, Russia and Ukraine.
