New chair for BHA Scotland Committee
Hotelier Debbie Taylor has taken over as chair of the British Hospitality Association (BHA) Scotland Committee.
The managing director at The Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort and Spa in St Andrews takes over from Gavin Ellis, proprietor of the Knockomie Hotel in Forres.
Iain Herbert, chief executive of Scottish Tourism Forum commented: “It is vital that Scotland’s tourism industry works together to create opportunities for sustainable growth. I am very pleased to be working in association with Debbie Taylor who brings enormous commercial knowledge and industry experience to BHA Scotland.â€
Debbie’s first official engagement will be at the Scotland United Invest in Scottish Tourism Conference at Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium on March 5.
The conference, co-hosted by Scottish Tourism Forum and BHA Scotland, is a focal point of Scottish Tourism Week 2008, March 4-11.
