New Club Med Mauritius to open in August
Club Med will be expanding its collection of upscale resorts in 2007 with the opening of a new beachfront village in Mauritius covering 21 hectares and designed to be a luxurious playground for holidaymakers, with Club Med Albion featuring n the newly released 2007 Club Med brochure and featuring a striking fine white sand beach, range of accommodation options and seemingly endless sporting and wellbeing pursuits.
The new 266 room resort will open in August and there are six accommodation options to choose from with 70 square metre sea view suites offering the most spacious living environment and boasting a separate lounge, and balcony for private use.
All rooms are generously proportioned while Club Med’s entertainment offering and facilities draw guests to the outdoors where the style of the local area is incorporated into the refreshing design.
The renowned Club Med culinary experience has not been forgotten at Club Med Albion with chefs drawn from around the world to create authentic international and speciality dishes in the main restaurant which is located to enjoy sea views from most tables.
A speciality restaurant and three bars, including a main bar overlooking the ocean, a beach bar and poolside Creole bar, offer more options for relaxed dining and entertainment.
As well as a great variety of land sports, Club Med Albion offers PADI-certified diving and with exceptional coral and abundant sea life at dive sites in close proximity to the village.
The diving on offer attracts advanced divers, as well as beginners, with rich fauna and a number of endemic or rare species to be seen on dives, and unlike other Indian Ocean destinations the diving is not limited to 30 metres.
Club Med Albion’s luxurious spa will be operated by Cinq Mondes to ensure the beautiful surrounds are complemented by the highest standard of treatments and services.
The spa is situated close to the village’s peaceful swimming pool and duo treatment rooms, a private spa and a private hammam with exfoliation room are some of the spaces in which guests can relax and rejuvenate.
Club Med originated the all-inclusive package concept more than 55 years ago and Club Med Albion is the latest village to offer this popular concept which was recently expanded to include ALL DAY bar and snacking.
Guests can now enjoy an extensive menu of cocktails, mocktails, soft drinks, beer and finger food throughout the day and night without paying extra at all Club Med villages.
