Hong Kong will be the next destination for the Airbus A380.

Emirates is to operate an A380 on a daily service from Dubai via Bangkok from
October 1. Hong Kong will be its 11th A380 destination.

The airline will begin daily flights with the A380 to Manchester on September 1.

The CAA this week certified the airport ‘A380 ready’, making it one of 17 airports worldwide that can receive the super-jumbo.

Manchester has spent £10 million upgrading the airfield including adding a new hi tech stand.

It will be the first regional airport to have a regular service by an A380.
