New dynamic packaging cover unveiled

A worldwide insurance policy to protect all elements in dynamic packaging has been launched by International Passenger Protection.

The financial failure insurance company says the policy will enable travel agents to book component parts of a holiday with the same protection as if booking an inclusive holiday.

An IPP statement said: “The concept is easier, more straight forward, and in general cheaper, and it allows the consumer to book with confidence all elements of the package that may collapse and to be refunded to them, within seven days of receipt of full documentation. This cover includes repatriation whilst abroad.

“This goes a long way further than the current procedures when a collapse occurs. Historically, it has taken considerable time for payment to be made and in the main the customers and travel agents are sent back to the credit card companies. This causes a great deal of hardship for everyone with costs and time involved.

“The IPP policy simplifies all this by downloading one simple claims form from the IPP website and forwarded with the claims documentation requested for immediate settlement.”

The policy can be tailor-made to suit individual companies, websites, airlines or hotels.
