New easyJet ski route
EasyJet is to serve Salzburg from Gatwick this winter as it builds up its ski flight network.
The Austrian route will be the budget carrier’s 50th served from the airport this winter.
Flights will operate three times a week from December 13 with prices starting at £32.99 one-way.
The airline will also serve Geneva, Innsbruck, Lyon and Sofia as part of its winter timetable from Gatwick.
EasyJet expects to carry more than 16,000 passengers on the Salzburg route this winter.
UK general manager commercial David Osborne said: “Salzburg is yet another exciting destination to add to easyJet’s Gatwick network. We expect Salzburg to be popular with passengers seeking both a city break away or a great ski destination for those looking to hit the slopes this winter.
“EasyJet has more flights to the snow from Gatwick this winter than any other airline and Salzburg joins other popular ski destinations such as Geneva, Innsbruck, Lyon and Sofia.”
