New entrant claims it can compete with Anite
Australian systems supplier Exodus Systems, which has opened a UK office, says it aims to provide Anite “with serious competition in Europe.”
According to general manager Europe Richard Bristow the company’s Resmaster product provides “significant operational and cost advantages” compared to the legacy systems that are currently available.
The UK represents Exodus Systems’ first foray outside Australia where its clients include Australian Holidays, Asia Pacific Tours, Transglobal and Connection Holidays.
Mr Bristow told TravelMole: “We see the European market as being pretty open because the product that is available is very old. We have cost of ownership advantages and are far more flexible.”
He claimed that Exodus could offer a cheaper solution as it had more modern technology which meant it needed less staff than its competitors, which in turn brought costs down for its clients. He said: “We aim to be the easyJet of tour operator system suppliers.”
The Resmaster software is aimed at tour operators, flight consolidators and specialist agents. Links to all Global Distribution Systems’ are provided together with the facility for users to maintain their own fares database. While Exodus it still at an “embryonic stage’ in the UK, Mr Bristow said the eventual aim was to offer a total business solution to clients comprising reservations, administration and accounting.
