New European sales/services boss for Lufthansa
Lufthansa has appointed a new London-based European sales and services vice-president.
Former head of network planning Karsten Benz has taken up the position in place of Ulrich Wachter who is to head the airline’s cabin crew division in Frankfurt.
With 1,400 staff, Benz will be responsible for the German carrier’s top sales area worldwide in terms of international traffic share.
He said the airline wanted to pursue further growth in central and eastern Europe in its own right and through alliances and partnerships.
