New flights make Slovenia’s ski resorts more accessible
Slovenia’s ski resorts will be easier to reach this winter following the launch of new scheduled flights from UK regional airports to Salzburg, which is just over the border in Austria.
East European specialist Balkan Holidays is offering more ski and snowboard packages to Slovenia from a total of 10 UK airports as a result.
It is featuring the resorts of Kranjska Gora, Lake Bohinji and Lake Bled in Slovenia. New flights, from January, are to Salzburg on Saturdays with scheduled airlines flying from Bristol, Edinburgh, Exeter, Gatwick, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool, Luton, Manchester and Southampton.
Lake Bohinji
These flights are in addition to Balkan’s existing programme to Slovenia from Stansted and Luton.
A seven-night break flying from Gatwick and staying at the four-star Hotel Jezero in Lake Bohinj, including breakfast, costs from £429pp.
"As holidaymakers increasingly seek value for money alternatives to the traditional ski resorts, Slovenia combines stunning scenery with excellently equipped ski resorts appealing to beginner, intermediate and advanced skiers alike. Each resort is also ideal for families," said Balkan sales and marketing director Rupert Diggins.
