Former AmeriSuites properties are to be rebranded under the name Hyatt Place following their acquisition in January.

Hyatt is to start renovating and repositioning the hotels in the final quarter of this year and expects to have the work completed by the end of 2006.

The 143 AmeriSuites hotels are situated across the US offering an “upscale, limited service” concept.

Hyatt plans to revamp the chain with new designs and technology. Details of the new concept are to be revealed at an AmeriSuites franchise owners’ meeting next month.
