New innovative eco adventure programme………………….

Premier South American tour operator, Condor Travel has unveiled a new and innovative eco-adventure program for visitors wanting to experience the emotion and wild beauty of Chile’s Patagonia.

With the program centred around the recently created Patagonia Camp – located on the craggy shoreline of Lago el Toro in Torres del Paine National Park – guests can experience the unspoilt beauty of the region in an environmentally friendly and luxuriously appointed Yurt, with each dwelling outfitted with heating and ventilation systems that are weather-resistant to wind, rain and snow.

“The objective of the private Chilean consortium behind the construction of Patagonia Camp was to always preserve the region’s wild beauty, which is why the camp is 100% eco-friendly and blends in symmetry with the region’s philosophy of ‘deep ecology’ – the fundamental revaluation of man’s relationship to the planet,” says Sue Wallace, Director of Nemonic Concepts, which represents Condor Travel in Australia and New Zealand.

“So not only do we cater to discerning travellers who are wanting discreet luxury but also those who are wanting to experience the unblemished magnificence of Patagonia, combining their stay with nature, relaxation and outdoor adventure.”

Framed by a ring of craggy mountains and a body of clear-blue water, Patagonia Camp’s 15 luxuriously appointed Yurts each feature lake and mountain views, a private bathroom and terrace and also come fully- equipped with double beds (twin or king size), spacious closets, a desk and full-bodied timber flooring. In the evening guests can also kick back and relax inside the Yurt’s lounge or dining room, enjoy the meals prepared by a specialty chef or participate in a traditional Chilean Quincho or barbecue.

“The Patagonia Camp experience is second to none. Each morning guests wake up to a panoramic view of towering snow capped mountains, endless walls of rock that shelter cascading waterfalls as well as glaciers, which plunge from icefields and fall on dense, ancient forests,” adds Ms. Wallace.

However it is the transparent lakes of turquoise and cerulean hues that capture Patagonia’s pure light along with the natural playground of Torres del Paine National Park, which invariably connects each guest with the pristine environment.

“The Condor Brand is all about providing unique travel experiences in Latin America that first starts with the travel inquiry and concludes with the product delivery. The newly created, ecologically friendly Patagonia Camp is just one of the many unique programs that creates that ‘special point of difference’ along with product delivery of every guest being pampered from start to finish by expert bilingual staff,” confirms Ms. Wallace.

The four day / 3 night Patagonia Camp eco-adventure program includes 3 nights accommodation in a luxurious Yurt, a full day tour (including entrance fee) of Torres del Paine National Park, bilingual guides and airport transfers to and from the Patagonia Camp.

Valid until April 15, 2008, the package is priced at US $1,550 per person or US $998 per person, twin share – up to two persons to a Yurt. Condor Travel can also devise and coordinate accommodation packages (prior or post tour) in Santiago or any other destination in Chile, Argentina, Peru, Ecuador and Bolivia.
