New Isle of Man link from London City
VLM Airlines is to start flights from London City Airport to the Isle of Man.
The service starts on November 1 with a daily schedule on weekdays.
VLM already serves the domestic destinations of Jersey, Liverpool and Manchester from the docklands airport.
Flights will depart London City at 09.00 and return from the Isle of Man at 17.00 to give travellers a full day on the island.
VLM’s UK regional manager David Nye said: “We are confident this service will be well received by our existing clientele who extensively use our London City services to meet clients and carry out business meetings. Our corporate customers have specifically demanded a VLM Airlines service to the Isle of Man”
Isle of Man airport director Philip Pain said: “The island is a significant financial centre and has many synergies with the City of London, whilst the onward connections offered by VLM Airlines to European airports will enable new tourism and business links to be established.”
