New links between Denpasar and Dili
Merpati Nusantara Airlines and Batavia Air have been given the green light to fly the international air segment between Bali and Dili, East Timor.
Merpati will initially offer a daily service using a Boeing 737-300 carrying 138 passengers. It plans to increase frequency to 10 per week.
Batavia Air is in the process of securing permits for the Denpasar-Dili sector which it hopes to to start flying in December using an Airbus A319.
