New magazine for Tassie airline
Inflight Publishing has launched a new magazine for travellers on Tasmania’s premier airline, Tasair said editor Kerry Heaney.
This brings the number of airlines covered by Inflight Publications to ten, encompassing every Australian state and territory and poised to reach in excess of 1,200,000 passengers annually.
Tasmanian Tourism Minister Paula Wriedt launched the new Inflight Magazine for Tasair and reinforced the importance of regional air carriers to Tasmanian communities. Ms Wriedt said that with the changing face of the domestic aviation scene it was important to recognise the role regional airlines played in servicing communities.
“Airlines, like Tasair, connect regional and remote areas of Tasmania and mainland Australia, and are often the lifeblood of many of these communities,” said Ms Wriedt. “Connections between regional towns foster economic prosperity through links to bigger markets and opens up new opportunities for tourism and development.”
The magazine will reach the 4,000 passengers who travel every two months with Tasair, plus 61,200 passengers who fly with regional airlines Aeropelican, Big Sky, Air Link and Brindabella in New South Wales and Victoria.
