New non-stop flights to St Petersburg
Russian airline Transaero is to launch a new twice-weekly non-stop service between London Heathrow and St Petersburg before the end of the month.
The flights, starting on October 29, will operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays with a Boeing 737.
Fares will start at £186 return, including taxes. They will leave Heathrow at 18:30 and arrive at 01:50 at Pulkovo Airport. The return flights will leave St Petersburg at 15:40, arriving at Heathrow at 16:10.
British Airways currently offers the only non-stop flights between London and St Petersburg but Transaero, Russian’s second largest carrier, already flies from Heathrow to Moscow, operating a codeshare with Virgin Atlantic.
