New Norway flights from SAS offshoot
New flights from Edinburgh and Newcastle to Bergen in Norway are to start in the summer.
SAS group regional carrier Wideroe is to commence the services with four flights a week from Edinburgh and twice weekly flights from Newcastle on April 27.
The airline is to use 50-seat Dash 8-300 aircraft on the routes.
SAS UK & Ireland general manager Lars-Ove Filipson said: “These new services will bring advantages to both business and leisure travellers from around the UK, providing efficient business links to the oil and gas industry of Bergen and the surrounding area as well as opening up the picturesque fjords to holidymakers.”
Low cost carrier Jet2.com last week announced plans for Newcastle-Bergen flights.
