New NSW product development initiative from India market
Tourism NSW says that it is continuing to promote Sydney and its surrounds in India.
The agency’s latest initiative is a five night/six day package developed by SOTC, a leading travel agent.
SOTC has more than 158 offices in India with a network of over 3500 travel agents and is owned by India’s largest travel company, Kuoni Travel Group.
The package was launched in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore this week. This is the first time SOTC has developed a dedicated five night package.
The offer includes Sydney, Port Stephens, the Blue Mountains and the Hunter Valley.
Mr Sunil Gupta, Chief Operating Officer, SOTC said “Travelling is becoming a private affair both for the seasoned and amateur traveller.
Travellers often prefer to travel at their own pace on a customised holiday.
DINKS and working couples prefer to travel to mono destinations that offer a different experience beyond their expectations.
To keep up with the expectations of the Indian traveller scouting for new destinations we are pleased to launch customised holiday to Sydney in association with Tourism NSW.
SOTC’s holiday to Sydney is an invitation to travellers to truly experience Sydney rather than just visiting it.
This holiday ensures a memorable experience of this fascinating place.
“I would like to thank Tourism NSW for its support in creating this attractive holiday to Sydney.”
India is the fastest growing tourism market to Australia, predicted to grow by 16.8 per cent each year until 2016.
Last year 50,100 people from India visited NSW, spending $150 million
