New Resorts World Cruises business launching next month
New business Resorts World Cruises will launch with cruises to nowhere from Singapore in June. It is the new venture of Malaysian billionaire Lim Kok Thay, who presided over now liquidated Genting Hong Kong.
Resorts World Cruises has rehired about 1,700 workers laid off by Genting.
The first voyage on June 15 will be on Genting Dream. Customers of Dream Cruises who made bookings that were cancelled will get ‘goodwill’ cruise credits for the new cruise liner.
