New software chief for Amadeus
Bertrand Kientz has been named as vice-president, software development strategy by Amadeus.
With 25 years’ experience in IT, he has joined Amadeus after working as information systems director with advertising firm JC Decaux since 2001.
In his new position, Kientz will work alongside Jean-Paul Hamon, executive vice- president, development, and president of Amadeus.
He will support trade-focused development groups in facilitating product catalogue growth and diversification, the company said.
Kientz will also be in charge of internal IT systems, as well as managing relations with IT partners, and skills and development distribution towards Amadeus centres worldwide.
Hamon said: “He will really be able to strengthen the diversification of Amadeus’ business offer. His experience, both in the airline industry and working with JC Decaux, will be very useful to us.â€
