New summer 2022 routes coming to Doncaster Sheffield Airport
Doncaster Sheffield Airport (DSA) has revealed an expanded summer 2022 flight programme with TUI offering two new summer destinations.
TUI will operate flights to Faro and Hurghada, Egypt next summer, adding almost 200,000 seats.
DSA says next summer is set to be the biggest on record with passenger numbers set to grow to more than 1.7 million.
That could exceed pre-pandemic passenger traffic levels by more than 30%.
The airport serves 30 TUI holiday destinations including popular hotspots such as Palma, Malaga Corfu, Crete and Kos.
The summer schedule also sees the return of long-haul leisure flights to Cancun Mexico and Sanford Orlando.
Kate Stow, Director of Aviation Development and Corporate Affairs, Doncaster Sheffield Airport, said: "We’re immensely proud of our long-standing relationship with TUI and its continued commitment to regional airports has been fundamental to our growth story at DSA."
"As well as two new destinations, TUI has increased flights to 12 existing holiday destinations. We’re looking ahead to a record-breaking year."
