Applications are now open for the TIME (Travel Industry Mentor Experience) Scholarship Programme for 2013.

Open to all industry professionals who have worked for a minimum of three years in the Australian travel industry, the TIME scholarship offers a valuable resource to industry professionals looking to develop their careers.

Chairman of TIME, Penny Spencer of Spencer Travel, said,
"The TIME scholarship offers a fantastic opportunity to candidates looking to take that next step in their career.

"Thanks to the help of our scholarship sponsor, The Travel Industry Careers Association (TICA) we are pleased to offer a scholarship to our 2013 programme which commences in February."

Travel and tourism employees who do not receive employer financial support are eligible to apply for the TICA Scholarship.

If chosen they will have AUD1,000 of the AUD1,500 participation fee paid on their behalf and the remaining AUD500 +GST to be paid by themselves."

"The scholarship offers mentees the chance to participate in our six month programme, where they gain valuable career knowledge and guidance from senior industry personnel as well the opportunity to attend networking events," Spencer added.

To further assist mentees in financing their programme fees TIME has also recently launched a part payment plan.

Three TIME graduates were acknowledged in the recent Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) 3 Under 33 Programme.

Former TIME mentees Steve Farrelly, Vanessa Dal Busca and Jake Hower were all listed finalists with Hower selected as one of three regional winners of the programme at the ACTE Asia Education Conference in Singapore.

He now progresses on to compete in the ACTE Global Education Conference in Rome this month.

Entries for the 2013 TICA Scholarship are now open.

Interested applicants are invited to complete the application form and the expression of interest form available on the TIME website:
