New tourism boss for the Gold Coast…………..again!
Gold Coast Tourism Chairman, Mr Paul Donovan, has announced the appointment of Martin Winter as the new Gold Coast Tourism CEO, with Winter officially beginning duties as GCT CEO in June, coming to the organisation after almost eight years at Adelaide Tourism Convention Authority as CEO.
Winter said, “I am truly excited about the opportunity to come to the Gold Coast, it is undeniably Australia’s best destination, this is evident in its history and its future. As a tourism city it commands the upmost respect at a national and international level.â€
“I have been drawn to the position of Gold Coast Tourism CEO by the variety of the destination proposition, the quality of the tourism industry and the city’s potential for even greater future growth.â€
GCT Chairman, Paul Donovan said, “The appointment of Martin Winter as GCT CEO is an outstanding result for the city.â€
“The business experience and acumen that Martin brings from Europe, the Americas, Asia and Australia is exceptional. I am really excited about the future of our city as its most expansive industry continues to deliver social and economic results for the city.â€
Acting CEO David Ronai will remain at the helm of GCT until Mr Winter comes on board and a handover is completed.
Media and industry will be invited to welcome Mr Winter to the Gold Coast at a special GCT media event, dates will be distributed via email shortly.
