‘New way of working’ as Ickenham Travel Group rebrands

Monday, 06 Oct, 2005 0

Business Travel Direct is the new name for 35-year-old travel management company Ickenham Travel Group.

The independent agency is to introduce a new tiered pricing method enabling clients to only pay for the services used as opposed to the former all inclusive pricing strategy.

A new rewards programme will also offer clients a combination of 5.2 million special fares.

The agency aims to offer the ability to capture all company travel data through one central source, regardless of how the bookings are made, including web bookings.

A new symbol for Business Travel Direct called Bizzy will lead users through its portal which offers those booking business travel as much or as little support as required. This can range from current flight information and deals to full management data capture reports, according to the agency.

Managing director Peter Reglar said: “As Ickenham Business Travel, our brand values were tried and trusted. We are simply responding to the business travel market whose customers now want a choice of how they work.

“Customers have expressed the need for an ever clearer pricing and management system, including upfront fee allocation.

“In addition we are allowing our customers to book directly with third parties through the portal with Business Travel Direct capturing the data to keep control of travel spend. We aim to reach out to a new wave of business travellers with this new way of working.”
