Nine-year-old runaway flies to Vegas
A nine-year-old boy ran away to Vegas last week, getting through security and onto a Delta flight without a ticket or a boarding pass. Or a parent.
The as-yet unnamed boy from Minneapolis slipped through three security checks, likely by attaching himself to a family group.
Flight crew became suspicious when his name did not appear on their list of unaccompanied minors, and contacted Las Vegas police.
A security video shows the boy at the airport terminal, apparently working out his plan, the day before he took his ticketless trip.
He took a bag that did not belong to him from the carousel and ordered lunch at an airport restaurant, then left the bag and walked away without paying his restaurant bill.
