NYC tourism appoints new marketing chief
New York City’s official tourism marketing agency NYC & Company has named Abby Spatz as chief marketing officer.
Reporting to CEO Fred Dixon, Spatz joins from spa brand Bliss where she was head of marketing and communications.
She has more than 20 years experience in marketing at lifestyle and travel brands including Hilton, Ebay, Chanel and American Express.
She also worked with the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau in the run up to the 1996 Olympic Games.
"Abby is a forward-thinking and accomplished marketing executive who will play a critical role in spreading the welcoming image of New York City’s five boroughs around the world," said Dixon.
"We are dedicated to inspiring travel to the City, and Abby’s wealth of experience will help expand the future potential of the industry and motivate visitation."
