Oceania Cruises announces USD100 million Regatta-class upgrade
Oceania Cruises’ Regatta-class fleet will undergo its most comprehensive enhancement program at a cost of $100 million.
The line’s four 684-passenger ships will each have 50% new designer suites and staterooms along with dining venues and lounges.
Insignia will be the first to debut the upgrades in December 2018, followed by Sirena, Regatta and Nautica through June 2020.
It is part of the OceaniaNEXT program, aimed at improving the guest experience.
"OceaniaNEXT will be the most extensive and comprehensive suite of product and guest service enhancements that we have ever undertaken," said Bob Binder, president and CEO of Oceania Cruises.
"Our Regatta-class ships are like second homes to our loyal guests and travel partners. They don’t build ships like these anymore, which is why this re-inspiration project is such an important milestone."
There will be a total of 1,368 new suites and staterooms across the fleet which are being designed by Miami based Studio DADO.
"We are maintaining the intimate surroundings and personal attention that our guests love, while at the same time setting a new standard of style and elegance for small ship cruising," Binder said.
Staterooms will have USB ports and new TVs with movies on demand in multiple-languages, as well as itinerary information and weather updates.
"The staterooms and suites are the most dramatic of the transformation," said Yohandel Ruiz, founding partner of Studio DADO.
