Ohio conference center offering free breakfast and dinner
Deer Creek Resort and Conference Center is among places responding to a recent industry study that found more than half of business travelers say getting a free breakfast is very or extremely influential in their hotel choices.
The resort located near Columbus, Ohio, has a new Whatever the Weather Package that includes both free breakfast and dinners all year long. The one-night package starts at $129 and includes a $25 voucher for dinner and/or breakfast.
The facility’s Conference Center has more than 12,000 square feet with the ability to accommodate up to 450 attendees. The interior of its 11 meeting rooms, including an executive board room and breakout areas, were recently updated with new décor, carpet, and wall coverings.
The property’s old game room has been transformed into the Buckeye Room, a new small meeting room. The parlors have also received new carpet, wall coverings, lighting and window treatments to brighten the area commonly used between sessions.
Deer Creek’s restaurant, Rafter’s, which features a cathedral ceiling and scenic lake views, also received a face-lift.
Activities at the resort include Tick Ridge Mound District, where Indian artifacts were discovered. It’s one of registered historical landmarks located in nearby Deer Creek State Park.
The Park encompasses 2,300 acres in Fayette and Pickaway counties. Wildflowers abound in the fields and woodlands of the plains. Other popular activities include fishing and boating.
The Deer Creek Resort & Conference Center is managed by ARAMARK Harrison Lodging, a division of ARAMARK, which provides a wide range of professional services, including meeting and recreational support services to 50 conference and corporate training centers, specialty hotels, national and state parks, resorts and other tourist destinations throughout the United States.
