Oman approved for Chinese visitors
BEIJING – The Chinese government has sanctioned six more countries as destinations for outbound tourist groups, according to sources at the China National Tourism Administration.
The six countries to receive approved destination status (ADS) are Oman, Morocco, Monaco, Syria, Namibia and Bulgaria.
In the first half of the year, China’s outbound tourism saw rapid growth, with the number of tourists up more than 14 percent from the same period of last year.
China has so far approved 132 countries and regions as approved destinations for outbound tourism, 86 of which can receive Chinese tour groups.
