One Day, Two Wheels, Three Rides

Capital Sport now offers day tours cycling around London which are virtually traffic free and taken at your own pace with easy to follow route directions. It’s an ideal way to really experience the capital this winter whilst keeping warm with a little gentle cycling.
There are 3 tours to choose from starting from their base near London Bridge. The West and East Tours roughly follow the River Thames out of London with a boat trip back and bikes aboard. London’s Heart, a tour ideal for a half day, takes in the river and London’s spacious parks.
West to Kew and Richmond
The 18 mile ride goes under many of London’s famous bridges and to some riverside surprises. There’s Kew to enjoy and Richmond to explore with its many waterside retreats, fine houses and parks. At the end of the day bikes go aboard a boat for a leisurely trip back to London.
East to Greenwich and The Thames Barrier
This fascinating ride east covers 7 or 15 miles and unravels the layers of history that have built up beside the Thames. Riders will discover the unexpected, a tiny museum and a farm followed by the maritime treasures at Greenwich and if legs allow, the Thames Flood Barrier. Like the West tour, there’s a boat trip back from Greenwich with bikes aboard at the end of the day.
London’s Heart
Ideal for a half day, this 13.5 mile route is virtually traffic free. It explores famous London landmarks as well as the quirky and unexpected. The banks of the Thames and many of London’s spacious parks define the route for this ride. Tiny mews, Kensington Palace, a street market, a rose garden and of course, boats large and small. Ride through alleys, take a lift and pedal under famous bridges and arches.
Price: £35 per person to include bike hire, pannier, helmet and route directions. Boat tickets are not included.
Tours start daily with the exception of the West tour on Sundays. Guides can also be booked who are entertaining and informative with local and up to date knowledge.

Bookings should be made at least 24 hours in advance
