Online booking for agents to be offered by Alamo

Alamo Rent A Car is to relaunch of its global website specifically for UK travellers with a dedicated booking facility for travel agents.

The new-look Alamo.co.uk site, to be unveiled at World Travel Market in London in November, will also feature a pre-pay facility for customers booking direct online.

The car rental company’s leisure marketing director Sally Hinds said:  “Since launching the site in 2003, bookings have gone from strength to strength.

“However we have recognised that we can really enhance the site by offering a dedicated booking facility for travel agents and a pre-payment option.  Agents will be able to offer their customers the option to book on the spot as well as use the site to confirm fleet availability, offer driving safety tips and local weather for each location.

“The new pre-payment function will really simplify the rental process for customers, allowing them to budget for their holiday more effectively. All rates are fully inclusive and guaranteed ensuring no additional costs on arrival.”

Visual depictions of the fleet available and rates for the chosen destination and dates, are provided up front and unprompted. Once a vehicle has been selected, the user can review what is included in the rental and check through optional extras such as baby seats and ski racks.
