Online group travel company expanding quickly
Groople, a leading domestic and international group travel booking resource, announced it was expanding.
The company has a new headquarters in Denver that houses its staff of 100 people.
Officials of Groople say sales have nearly doubled quarter after quarter this year.
Groople also announced that Eliot Cobb has been named CFO. He is the former co-founder and CFO of online baggage retailer eBags.
Groople, launched last July, says it was the first Web site to allow consumers to book five or more hotel rooms online with real-time inventory and group rates.
The company plans to soon launch new group capabilities for air, car, cruise and rail.
The company, which recently opened its first international office in Paris, is targeting the $300 billion global group travel market.
