Outrigger’s Fiji Resorts 100% Vaccinated
Obtaining the Care Fiji Commitment | 100% Vaccinated seal of approval from Tourism Fiji is Outrigger’s Fiji resorts’ commitment to providing a safe oasis for the staff, now 100% vaccinated, and guests when borders open.

Just announced, Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort will reopen to their loyal local domestic market from October 1, 2021. Initially, the property will welcome guests from Friday to Sunday and is offering special packages for its bure accommodations from F$185 per night for two adults and two children. Daily full breakfast, complimentary Wi-Fi and selected non-motorized water sports are included.
Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort and Castaway Island, Fiji staff have undergone extensive training in COVID-awareness protocols underpinned by Outrigger’s Clean Commitment. The clean commitment is founded on The Outrigger Way — caring for guests, hosts (staff) and the places Outrigger resides. Outrigger’s Clean Commitment redefines the guest experience from arrival, public spaces, restaurants, housekeeping, spa, kids clubs and Meimei (nanny) service, activities through to departure to ensure compliance with all Ministry of Health directives to keep both guests and staff safe.
Further to Outrigger’s Clean Commitment, both resorts have also undergone accreditation with the Fiji Government and are certified under the Care Fiji Commitment. The Care Fiji Commitment was developed by the Tourism Recovery Team to reassure travellers that Fiji is a safe and secure destination to visit for their next holiday. The Care Fiji Commitment is essentially Outrigger’s commitment to the health and safety of travellers to Fiji and their commitment to Outrigger to travel responsibly in Fiji. As part of the Care Fiji Commitment, Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort and Castaway Island, Fiji have nominated ‘Wellness Ambassadors’ at both resorts. The ambassadors are responsible for delivering the Care Fiji Commitment, are a contact point with the Ministry of Health and Medical Services and are active facilitators of COVID-19 mitigation programs and controls on property. In fulfilling this capacity, they are trained in coordinating the response to suspected COVID-19 cases.
In addition, both resorts have employed a full-time Area Hygiene Manager to oversee protocols, adding a further layer of confidence and communication with the Ministry of Health.
