OYO checks in to the Philippines
Indian budget hotel operator OYO has made a tentative step into the Philippines market with its first 10 properties in Manila.
According to media reports it is discussing moves to aggressively expand in the country in more locations.
The Softbank-backed startup began it international expansion in 2016 and now has a presence in the UAE, China, Nepal, the UK, and Malaysia.
It rolled out a Philippine website offering ‘some of the best hotels in Manila’ it says.
The company hasn’t officially confirmed its plans for expansion across the Philippines but has posted job opportunities in locations including Cebu and Davao, according to Inc42.com
OYO now has a presence in 350 cities globally.
