Oyo offering guests free insurance cover
Oyo Hotels and Homes is rolling out free insurance cover for travellers.
The cover will be included as part of the basic accommodation price at Oyo properties across India.
The company has teamed up with insurer Acko General Insurance and offers loss of baggage cover, accidental death cover, and medical expenses.
Oyo guests get INR10,00,000 cover for lost baggage and accidental death and INR25,000 for medical expenses.
"This unique feature which has never been offered before in the Indian hospitality industry aims to cater to the unexpected, unplanned and isolated situations," said Gaurav Ajmera, Oyo’s chief operating officer, India and South Asia.
It is valid at properties in more than 300 cities in India at Oyo Hotels, Oyo Home, Oyo Townhouse, Collection O, SilverKey, Capital O and Palette Resorts brands.
Insurance claims can be made on the Oyo or Acko websites.
