Oyo passes 100 hotel milestone in US
India’s Oyo Hotels & Homes, which claims to be the world’s third-largest hotel chain, has passed a milestone of 100 hotels in the United States.
The company only officially launched in the US in June and now has a presence in more than 60 cities.
It includes the upcoming opening of a landmark casino hotel in Las Vegas with 657 rooms.
US growth is being funded by a $300 million initial investment in the U.S, and has responded by opening at least one new property a day on average.
It is present in major metro markets Houston, Los Angeles, Seattle, Atlanta, Miami and many others.
"We are excited with our rapid growth and early success in the US. It is a key home-market of us given the huge potential," said founder and CEO Ritesh Agarwal.
