Oz still fifth of Trailfinders business

Sydney is still the top destination for Trailfinders customers, 34 years after the agency launched.

Despite the emergence of new destinations in the leisure and business travel sectors, Sydney is visited by more Trailfinders customers than any other city, and has remained in the top three cities for Trailfinders customers since the company launched.

According to the agency, one in five of its customers booking flights travel from the UK to Australia.

The popularity of Australia was confirmed by a survey of 15,000 Trailfinder Magazine readers, who voted the country their favourite and also put it top in the “best city”, “best beaches”, “best resort” and “best city hotel” in their categories.

Its neighbour New Zealand also did well, coming out top in the “would most like to visit” category. The survey was issued in the 99th edition of Trailfinder Magazine, which has been running since 1971, a year after the agency was launched in London’s Earls Court offering overland trips to Australia.
