Palace Resorts opened its new luxury property, Le Blanc Spa Resort, in the heart of Cancun, Mexico.

Company officials say the resort is helping to meet the growing upscale needs of Cancun. Said Roberto Chapur, president of Palace Resorts:

“Le Blanc Spa Resort is the answer to the demand of the growing upscale market in Cancun.” He said it would attract sophisticated travelers.

“The resort’s contemporary minimalist-style décor, touched with tropical and Mexican elements, creates a stylish yet exotic ambiance found only in world-class resorts,” said the company.

The resort is the former Hotel Sierra Cancun, which was completely renovated. All guest rooms are now luxury suites with ocean views.

Upscale features include fully stocked in-room liquor dispensers offering such premium brands as Johnny Walker Black Label scotch and Absolute Vodka.

Other amenities include three outdoor pools, two of which are infinity pools with swim-up bars.

Room rates start at $462.
