Tahiti based small ship line Paul Gauguin Cruises is the latest member of Cruise Lines International Association.

It joined Cruise Lines International Association Australasia as a regional cruise line, following parent company Ponant in becoming a CLIA member.

Ponant acquired Paul Gauguin Cruises last year.

The line operates the 332-passenger Paul Gauguin ship which sails in French Polynesia and across the South Pacific.

"Paul Gauguin Cruises joins CLIA at a time when our role has never been more important, and we are delighted to have their expertise and support as we lay new foundations for cruising’s future," said CLIA’s Australasian managing director, Joel Katz.

"We look forward to building awareness of our unique brand with the highly engaged CLIA community," said Deb Corbett, Paul Gauguin Cruises’ Asia Pacific General Manager of Sales And Marketing.
