Pegasus launches hotel commission service
Pegasus Solutions’ Utell launched its new hotel commission tracking Web service for agents.
“This is the first time we’ve had a truly dedicated website. The significance is that travel agents can keep track and get their commissions in a timely way,” marketing director Andy Cradock told TravelMole.
The easy-to-operate website allows three steps to view status reports on individual commission payments.
Agents log onto the site using either their IATA or TIDS number. The link takes users to the commission enquiry screen, where they can enter Utell reservation confirmation numbers to request a status report. After clicking on “Start Enquiry,” the service generates a status report for each reservation.
Reports from Utell show each commission payment, along with non-commissionable rates, bookings with pre-paid commissions, cancellations and other information.
Utell also provides links for agents to contact member hotels directly.
“This new service is the result of our initiative to build solid brand standards among our independent hotel members,” said Roland Tanner, vice president of product strategy and planning for Pegasus Solutions.
The launch of the service on www.UtellAgent.com initially targeted agents in the UK. A gradual rollout to other regions, including countries in Asia-Pacific, Europe and the Americas, will begin in November.
